Staff Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of complex, scalable full-stack systems for the Growth Engineering domain.
• Design and build AI-first, user-facing product experiences powered by LLMs.
• Develop and optimize applications and services with React, TypeScript, Postgres, and AWS serverless technologies, including Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, and S3.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data teams to define the technical roadmap and deliver growth-focused features.
• Set standards for system design, coding, testing, responsible AI tooling adoption, and operational excellence.
• Mentor engineers, conduct technical reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and maintain high reliability and observability standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong full-stack expertise across React/TypeScript and backend or distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience building AI-first, user-facing product features and using LLM-powered coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex.
• Deep expertise in TypeScript, Postgres, AWS, and strong proficiency in React.
• Strong understanding of system design, scalability, performance optimization, debugging, and reliable delivery.
• Exceptional communication and technical leadership skills, including the ability to explain complex AI and engineering trade-offs.

Nice to have

• Experience with growth engineering initiatives or A/B testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with RAG, evaluations, prompt engineering, or agentic LLM frameworks.
• Knowledge of frontend performance optimization techniques.
• Open-source contribution or leadership experience.
• Experience with Jest, Cypress, or React Testing Library.
