Lead Backend Engineer (AI)

hirify.global is an early-stage AI startup building Raden, a SaaS platform for data spend optimization, data reliability, cloud data operations, and GenAI-powered automation.

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable backend services for the SaaS platform.
• Own technical decisions across distributed systems, cloud-native workflows, backend infrastructure, and system design.
• Drive performance, reliability, observability, testing, and deployment best practices.
• Mentor backend engineers through technical reviews, goal setting, and career development.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver platform features.
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, technology evaluation, and technical roadmap planning.

Requirements

• 8+ years of backend development experience with Java, Golang, C++, or similar languages.
• Proven experience designing and scaling distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• Technical leadership, mentorship, and team-building experience.
• Strong knowledge of data structures, networking, system design, and cloud scalability.
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, performance optimization, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience in fast-paced, product-focused startup environments and a high-ownership approach.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, or Redshift.
• Production experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, NoSQL, SaaS platforms, or developer infrastructure.
• Open-source contributions or active participation in developer communities.
