Software Engineering Intern (Backend)

Location: Onsite in Bengaluru, India; working from the Bangalore office is required.

What you will do

• Participate in system design and implementation discussions.
• Build backend solutions from concept through production with guidance from experienced engineers.
• Develop scalable backend components using serverless architectures and AWS.
• Build proofs of concept for backend and AI feature integrations, from model output to real-time inference.
• Work with engineers building the AI-native platform and learn how backend architecture supports AI features end to end.
• Debug failures, edge cases, and unexpected behavior while improving system speed and resilience.

Requirements

• Ability and willingness to work onsite from the Bangalore office is required.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Engineering at a Tier 1 college.
• Strong programming fundamentals in any modern programming language.
• At least one prior internship in a relevant engineering, backend, or AI role.
• Interest in distributed systems, serverless computing, and AI-powered product features.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills, with eagerness to learn backend architecture for AI systems.

• Open-source contributions.
• Backend or AI project experience.
