Senior SAP Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote, New York

Salary: $100,000–$275,000 annually, plus equity

hirify.global is building an AI platform that improves the productivity of SAP teams by modernizing legacy code, redesigning business processes, and resolving production issues.

What you will do

• Build foundational SAP platform infrastructure, including abapGit-based code editing, system search, identity and authorization, sandboxes, GUI automation, and customer-landscape integrations.
• Develop SAP agent skills, refine prompts, and improve agent reasoning across modernization, debugging, business process redesign, and code review.
• Create repeatable test cases, benchmarks, and evaluation loops to measure agent improvements and prevent regressions.
• Debug issues across prompts, skills, ABAP code, infrastructure, and models, then implement fixes and safeguards.
• Write and debug Nova code in production SAP systems and resolve complex transport and installation issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of deep SAP technical experience, including ABAP, S/4HANA internals, transport systems, BAdIs, and enhancements.
• Production experience with S/4HANA, Clean Core, or large-scale ABAP modernization.
• Meaningful production engineering experience with Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar languages.
• Strong engineering judgment regarding AI agent design and frontier models.
• Experience at an early-stage startup, infrastructure company, or developer-tools company.

Nice to have

• Experience with BTP, RAP, CAP, or Integration Suite.
• Open-source contributions in or adjacent to the SAP ecosystem.
• Interest in direct customer engagement alongside platform engineering.
