SAP Functional Consultant

Location: San Jose, CA or New York City, United States. Hybrid work; remote work is considered, with travel to customer sites required, primarily in the U.S.

Salary: $185,000–$254,000 per year

What you will do

• Analyze, document, and modernize business processes across SAP Finance, Logistics, Supply Chain, and adjacent enterprise systems.
• Design SAP configurations, functional solutions, and WRICEF specifications aligned with clean-core principles and governance.
• Support SAP S/4HANA migrations by mapping data schemas and requirements, identifying legacy-system gaps, harmonizing data, and adapting custom code.
• Define cross-system integration patterns using APIs, BAPIs, IDocs, RFCs, events, ETL, and middleware.
• Apply multi-agent AI automation to configuration, workflows, data migration, code remediation, and functional processes.
• Lead workshops, requirements discovery, solution validation, testing, deployment support, and customer-site delivery activities.

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of SAP functional consulting or ERP business process experience.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA functional configuration and business-process mapping.
• Knowledge of SAP modules and enterprise integrations across ERP, CRM, SCM, and data platforms.
• Strong functional analysis, process documentation, requirements-gathering, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work through ambiguous requirements in fast-moving enterprise transformation programs.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, primarily in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Experience with S/4HANA migrations or large-scale ECC modernization.
• Background in ERP-adjacent platforms, enterprise integration, or process automation.
• Customer-facing consulting or delivery experience.
• Exposure to AI-enabled automation, intelligent agents, or workflow orchestration.
• Experience in regulated or audit-heavy environments and basic ABAP knowledge.
