Finance Lead (AI ClimateTech)

Location: London, UK; hybrid with three days a week in the office

Salary: £90,000–£120,000 per year, with equity; final offer depends on experience and location.

What you will do

• Own day-to-day finance operations, including month-end close, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll coordination.
• Manage revenue operations covering invoicing, billing, collections, and revenue recognition.
• Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and board-level reporting.
• Partner with the Chief of Staff and leadership team on runway planning, pricing analysis, and fundraising preparation.
• Act as the first dedicated finance hire and manage relationships with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Strengthen finance controls and workflows as the company scales.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent certification.
• Hands-on finance experience in a high-growth startup or scale-up.
• Experience improving and scaling finance processes.
• Strong financial modelling skills, including three-statement modelling.
• Ability to present complex financial analysis clearly to non-finance audiences.
• Comfort working with ambiguity and taking action in a fast-paced environment.
