Finance Assistant (AI/Finance Tech)

Location: Hybrid in London, UK, with two core office days

Salary: £30,000 pro-rated; six-week paid internship with the intention to hire permanently

What you will do

• Manage accounts receivable collections end-to-end, including monitoring DSO and overdue invoice aging.
• Work with partners and internal teams to resolve payment issues and optimise the Chaser collections management system.
• Handle finance operations such as inbox management, credit notes, partner onboarding, billing support, and VAT return assistance.
• Process accounts payable invoices, check policy compliance, and support approval workflows.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, post journal entries, and support accurate month-end close and financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve controls and automate finance workflows using technology and AI tools.

Requirements

• Strong interest in building a career in finance and becoming a qualified accountant.
• No formal finance experience is required; the role is intended for someone at the very start of their career.
• Clear and professional communication with internal teams and external partners.
• High attention to detail, strong organisation, and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Proactive ownership, willingness to handle repetitive finance operations, and motivation to improve or automate processes.
• Availability for a full-time hybrid role in London with two core office days.

Hiring process

• Talent screen lasting approximately 20 minutes, conducted remotely.

• Final 75-minute interview in the London office with the Finance Lead, CEO, and Co-Founder.
