Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: On-site at the New York City or Washington DC office

Base salary: $140,000–$190,000 per year

What you will do

• Build and extend defensive and offensive security tools and workflows for an AI-driven platform.
• Develop automated security workflows and intelligent responses to validated vulnerabilities and misconfigurations using Python and Go.
• Develop and maintain range infrastructure with Terraform and virtualization software for continuous testing and simulation.
• Integrate diverse security tools into scalable product workflows.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to align security capabilities with user needs and operational standards.
• Work with end users and communicate security features and outcomes to non-security stakeholders.

Requirements

• Experience working in an information security organization with familiarity with security workflows, tools, and automation.
• Software development experience focused on automating and expanding security workflows within a product.
• Experience with networking and penetration testing tools and integrating them into scalable product solutions.
• Practical knowledge of vulnerability management, incident response, and threat detection.
• Ability to explain security-related functionality and impact to non-security stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with container security, cloud security, or other infrastructure-focused security domains.
• Familiarity with application security.
