Enterprise Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Los Angeles, with in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office

Salary: $100K–$135K annual base salary, plus equity

What you will do

• Design and maintain enterprise cybersecurity architectures across cloud, on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments.
• Implement and optimize security controls for networks, systems, endpoints, applications, and cloud platforms.
• Lead the deployment and integration of SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, EDR/XDR, IAM, and vulnerability management technologies.
• Develop security automation using scripting and infrastructure-as-code, and collaborate with infrastructure, application, and cloud engineering teams.
• Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, audits, and remediation planning.
• Provide architectural guidance for incident response, threat hunting, forensic analysis, cyber resilience, and business continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7–10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, network security, cloud security, or related IT disciplines.
• 3–5+ years of experience designing security architectures or leading cybersecurity engineering initiatives.
• Experience implementing enterprise security controls and frameworks including NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171/172, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, or SOC 2.
• Experience securing AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform environments, including containers, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, leadership, mentoring, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• CISSP, CISM, CCSP, SABSA, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or GIAC certification.
• Experience in large-scale or regulated environments such as financial services, healthcare, government, aerospace, or defense.
• Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, threat intelligence, cloud-native security, DevSecOps, and resilient security architecture.
