Staff Software Engineer - DevOps and Infra

Location: New York, NY; 5 days a week in the NYC headquarters

Base salary: $175,000–$250,000 per year; competitive equity package with refreshers

hirify.global is building a commodity risk management platform that combines real-time market data, AI-powered exposure modeling, automated trade generation, execution, monitoring, alerts, and recommendations.

What you will do

• Own, architect, scale, and optimize the AWS cloud environment supporting new services and core trading systems.
• Build a modular Terraform-based Infrastructure as Code stack covering cloud instances and colocation networking.
• Manage container security, CVE remediation, and infrastructure hardening while supporting SOC2 milestones.
• Design observability and monitoring strategies to identify bottlenecks before outages occur.
• Improve GitHub Actions and CI/CD workflows for Go, C++, and TypeScript services.
• Participate in on-call rotation and lead in-depth post-mortems focused on preventing recurring incidents.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of cloud services, scaling, and infrastructure management.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines, deployment systems, internal platforms, and developer automation tools.
• Knowledge of DNS, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
• 0–5 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
• Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and solve complex problems.
• Ability to work onsite in the NYC headquarters five days per week.
