Lead Platform Infrastructure Engineer (AWS/Azure)

What you will do

• Own the technical direction and architecture of the cloud platform across AWS, Azure, and customer-managed deployments.
• Design and launch sovereign and regional environments, including isolated data planes for customers with data residency and sovereignty requirements in the UAE.
• Build reusable Terraform modules, deployment pipelines, policies, and self-service infrastructure tooling.
• Establish standards for availability, observability, incident response, capacity planning, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Strengthen identity, networking, encryption, key management, data protection, audit logging, and infrastructure controls.
• Lead multi-cloud initiatives, partner with application and security teams, manage external providers, and help grow the platform engineering team.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in platform engineering, infrastructure, SRE, cloud architecture, or a related field.
• Deep production experience with AWS and strong experience with Azure infrastructure, networking, identity, and managed services.
• Advanced Terraform or comparable infrastructure-as-code experience, including CI/CD delivery of reusable infrastructure.
• Experience operating Kubernetes or container platforms, managed databases, object storage, queues, caches, and production networks at scale.
• Knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS architecture, tenant isolation, regional data boundaries, encryption, access controls, and failure domains.
• Experience with secure cloud foundations, enterprise security or compliance programs, and translating audit requirements into technical controls.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Landing Zones, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Policy, confidential computing, sovereign cloud, or customer-managed cloud environments.
• Experience with AWS-to-Azure migrations or infrastructure for fintech, AI-powered applications, or security-sensitive enterprise software.
