Infrastructure Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, on-site

Salary: $200,000–$350,000 plus equity

What you will do

• Build and operate the cloud infrastructure behind the platform using AWS, Kubernetes, and related cloud systems.
• Architect and ship a scalable self-hosted deployment model for enterprise customers with strict security, data, and infrastructure requirements.
• Own graph, search, queueing, and runtime infrastructure supporting the product’s context layer.
• Design reliable deployment patterns across hosted and customer-hosted environments.
• Partner with product engineering, platform, security, and customer-facing teams to translate deployment constraints into infrastructure improvements.
• Improve observability, reliability, incident response, and operational tooling as the platform scales.

Requirements

• 5+ years of full-time experience in infrastructure, backend, platform, or distributed systems engineering.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure architecture.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Pulumi or Terraform.
• Comfort working in a modern TypeScript, Node, and React codebase.
• Experience operating production-grade systems where reliability, scale, security, and observability are critical.
• Ability to reason about deployment models, networking, data isolation, infrastructure constraints, and operational failure modes.
