Senior AI Engineer, Product Engineering (AI)

Salary: $200,000–$250,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Own the roadmap and product direction for core search APIs, monitoring, vertical feeds, evaluation tooling, and new retrieval primitives.
• Lead technical solutions for strategic customer accounts, architect integrations, unblock engineering teams, and convert pilots into long-term partnerships.
• Translate customer conversations into product specifications, roadmap priorities, and shipped features.
• Run technical deep-dives, create documentation and reference implementations, and represent the product to AI builders.
• Partner with engineering on API design, performance, and developer experience while setting a high technical quality bar.
• Prototype new API primitives and ship production code into the core stack.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience spanning engineering and product roles, including substantial work with developer-facing or API products.
• Ability and willingness to write production code in a hands-on role.
• Deep familiarity with AI agents, the LLM ecosystem, retrieval systems, and search infrastructure.
• Experience owning ambiguous, high-stakes problems end to end with high autonomy.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills, with technical credibility among engineers and commercial credibility with executives.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; hirify.global participates in E-Verify.

• Experience shipping a developer API or platform product used by engineers.
• Experience working with sales or solutions teams.
• Experience building or contributing to AI agents, retrieval systems, or search infrastructure.
