Location: Denver, United States; hybrid work
Salary: Up to $188,000 USD base plus variable compensation per year

What you will do
- Own part of the Agents or LLM control roadmap from customer conversations through delivery and iteration.
- Build Agent Gateway features, A2A protocol support, multi-LLM routing, cost controls, or reliability capabilities.
- Use AI-assisted development tools to prototype and ship product features.
- Analyze usage data and customer feedback to prioritize product development.
- Prototype with real users and adapt solutions based on feedback.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Staff Engineers, and other engineering pods across the API gateway, MCP, and LLM control layers.
Requirements
- 4+ years of software engineering experience, ideally in a product-facing or full-stack role.
- Ability to speak directly with customers and translate feedback into technical plans.
- Hands-on daily experience with AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong fundamentals in API design and distributed systems.
- Bias toward shipping, testing, and iterating on solutions.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Denver.
Nice to have
- Experience with A2A protocols, agent-to-agent communication, or MCP.
- Experience with API gateways, API management platforms, or cloud-native systems.
- Exposure to LLM products, agentic workflows, or multiple LLM provider integrations.
- Experience with AI and LLM cost or usage governance.
- Experience in a fast-moving, ambiguous product environment or with open source.
