Senior AI Engineer (Unstructured AI)

Location: New York, New York, USA; hybrid role requiring work from the New York office at least two days each week.

Salary: $204,000–$255,000 per year. No additional commission-based compensation.

What you will do

• Build and scale full-stack systems for ingesting, processing, and enriching PDFs, contracts, reports, and other unstructured enterprise content.
• Own end-to-end technical delivery from feature prototypes through stable production systems across enterprise environments.
• Write and review production-grade backend services using Python and FastAPI.
• Integrate SharePoint, Salesforce, internal APIs, and SaaS knowledge bases to provide context for AI features.
• Develop and deploy document-processing systems for large-scale data environments.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and sales teams from prototype through rollout.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, API development, and integrations.
• Hands-on experience with LLM-based and AI-driven enrichment models, including classification, entity extraction, deduplication, and PII detection.
• Production experience with Spark or comparable big data frameworks, including tuning and debugging jobs at scale.
• Experience with data pipelines, microservice architecture, API design, metadata systems, data cataloging, document AI workflows, model evaluation, and search relevance.
• Experience defining and shipping an MVP for a vaguely scoped problem, including setting assumptions and acceptance criteria independently.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
