Vice President, Strategic Finance

Salary: $205,000–$230,000 base salary, plus equity and bonus

What you will do

• Build and supervise the development of financial models covering unit economics, margins, cash flow, and non-financial KPIs.
• Own finance functions for early-stage portfolio companies, including accurate financial close, reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• Assess monetization strategies, pricing, funding needs, investor mix, milestones, and key performance metrics.
• Lead and support equity and debt fundraising with company leadership by preparing narratives, presentations, analyses, and exhibits.
• Monitor portfolio company performance and analyze fund-level returns, investment decisions, valuations, and relevant comparables.
• Define finance best practices, processes, templates, and training programs while mentoring Strategic Finance team members.

Requirements

• 4–6+ years of experience in private equity, venture capital, investment banking, or relevant investment or operating roles.
• Exceptional quantitative skills, mastery of Excel, and experience obtaining data from operational systems such as Mode, Looker, or Tableau.
• Ability to operate as a full-stack finance leader, managing and training teams while remaining hands-on.
• Strong attention to detail, independent judgment, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work with imperfect data.
• Impeccable integrity and the ability to build trust with founders.
• Experience across diverse business models, with strong pattern recognition and focus on high-impact insights.
