Senior Manager, Engineering Operations (PMO) (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid schedule in Charlotte, NC, United States; in-office Tuesday–Thursday and remote Monday and Friday. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Base salary: $150,000–$180,000 per year. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, plus 401(k) matching.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop agile project managers and delivery leads supporting engineering teams.
• Own delivery planning, governance, monthly goal-setting, delivery reviews, predictability tracking, and stakeholder communications.
• Lead prioritization with technology and business leaders, surfacing capacity constraints, dependencies, risks, and trade-offs.
• Use delivery performance, team-health insights, and feedback to drive actions, escalations, and improvements.
• Build cross-functional alignment across Technology, Product, Program Management, Analytics, and Finance.
• Manage staffing and contracting partners, technology budget planning, software capitalization support, and technology-wide knowledge-sharing programs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering operations, or a related role.
• Experience leading project managers, delivery leads, or similar teams.
• Experience building delivery governance, planning, and prioritization processes for a multi-team engineering organization.
• Strong people leadership, facilitation, communication, and senior stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to analyze delivery data, team feedback, and organizational signals to identify risks and make actionable recommendations.
• Experience driving organization-wide process improvements and managing external vendors, contractors, or staffing partners.

Nice to have

• Experience with agile or Scrum delivery frameworks and tools such as Jira or Asana.
• Familiarity with technology budgeting, software capitalization, or related financial planning processes.
• Experience in fintech, lending, insurance, or another regulated financial services environment.
