Engineering Manager (Fintech)

Location: On-site in New York City, United States; applicants may be located in or open to relocating to New York City.

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 per year plus equity.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
• Support engineers' technical and professional development through feedback, coaching, and goal setting.
• Partner with product, design, and data teams to scope, prioritize, and deliver complex projects.
• Drive development of the core platform and new offerings, including automation of complex operational processes.
• Prioritize infrastructure and process improvements that increase engineering quality and team velocity.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience and 2+ years managing and growing engineering teams.
• Track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineers.
• Strong technical foundations for hirify.globalitecture discussions, code reviews, and technical trade-offs.
• Experience partnering with product and design to deliver complex projects on time.
• Excellent communication across technical and business contexts.

Nice to have

• Experience in fintech or investment platforms.
• Experience scaling an engineering team at a startup or high-growth company.
• Experience improving sprint planning, on-call rotations, incident response, or developer productivity.
