Lead Product Designer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in Austin, Texas, with 2–3 onsite days per week at the Austin office; remote work is listed for the United States.

What you will do

• Own complex product experiences from customer discovery and problem definition through prototyping, delivery, measurement, and iteration.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to translate customer needs, business priorities, technical constraints, and product data into intuitive AI-powered experiences.
• Simplify workflows involving automated speech recognition, conversational intelligence, and related technologies across web, desktop, and mobile products.
• Create user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, detailed interfaces, and production-ready designs in Figma.
• Conduct customer discovery and usability testing, using qualitative and quantitative insights to improve shipped experiences.
• Strengthen hirify.global’s design system and establish repeatable AI-enabled design practices and processes.

Requirements

• Significant UX or Product Design experience at the Senior, Staff, or Lead level, with recent hands-on ownership of complex product experiences.
• Strong interaction, UX, and visual-design skills across responsive web and mobile experiences.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma and modern prototyping methods.
• Experience with customer research, usability testing, user-centered design, information architecture, responsive design, and accessibility.
• Demonstrated sustained use of AI in the design process and experience designing AI-powered products, including trust, uncertainty, transparency, user control, correction, and failure states.
• Experience contributing to scalable design systems and collaborating closely with Product and Engineering on design decisions and tradeoffs.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI products, B2B SaaS, legal technology, media workflows, speech technology, or conversational intelligence.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or resource-constrained environment.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
