Sr Scientist, Antibody Discovery

Base compensation: $131,000–$142,600 USD annually, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Support multiple antibody discovery projects as an individual-contributor Project Lead without direct people management.
• Analyze, optimize, and troubleshoot SPR, BLI, developability, ELISA, flow cytometry, kinetic, and functional assays.
• Provide technical guidance on assay development, data analysis, reporting, feasibility, and assay integration.
• Lead end-to-end technical work for in vivo antibody discovery programs and contract services.
• Review, critically analyze, and present complex scientific data to internal and external customers.
• Coordinate timelines, deliverables, risks, and progress with Project Management and cross-functional teams while spending approximately 80% of time on analysis and 20% on wet-lab work.

Requirements

• PhD in a related technical field with 5+ years of biopharmaceutical analytical development experience, or a master’s degree with 10+ years of experience.
• Expert hands-on knowledge of antibody and biologics characterization, including Carterra SPR, Octet BLI, ELISA, flow cytometry, and developability assays.
• Experience with HPLC, high-throughput plate-based assays, SDS-PAGE, protein quantification, and endotoxin assays.
• Advanced understanding of in vivo antibody discovery, high-throughput screening, epitope binning, ligand blocking, affinity analysis, and cell-based functional assays.
• Ability to manage concurrent, time-critical workflows, troubleshoot processes, make sound scientific decisions, and present complex data accurately.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including external customer-facing communication.
