Salary: Research Specialist — $129,500–$166,000 per year; Senior Scientist I, In Vitro Pharmacology — $176,000–$225,700 per year

What you will do

• Develop, execute, and optimize analytical, cell-based, biochemical, and complex in vitro bioassays for drug discovery programs.
• Convert manual assays into automated, scalable high-throughput screening workflows.
• Develop new assays de novo and validate performance using statistics such as the Z′-factor.
• Document experiments and results in an electronic lab notebook to maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with Discovery Sciences, the Institute of Computation, and Product Development.
• Provide technical leadership for the assay sciences team and manage external CRO research partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree with 8+ years of industry experience for the Research Specialist track, or a PhD with 6+ years of post-PhD experience plus 3+ years of industry experience for the Senior Scientist track.
• Expertise developing and running a broad range of analytical and bioassays.
• Experience with MSD, HTRF, AlphaLISA, and similar assay technologies.
• Hands-on expertise with laboratory automation equipment, including Bravo, Echo, I.DOT, and Digital Dispenser.
• Experience with high-content imaging in 96- and 384-well high-throughput formats.
• Strong documentation, communication, organizational, judgment, and CRO management skills, with demonstrated technical leadership.
