Associate, Interconnection

Location: Hybrid; must work from the Dana Point, CA; Salt Lake City, UT; Phoenix, AZ; or Lake Oswego, OR office at least 3 days per week. Up to 25% travel required. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

What you will do

• Manage and coordinate generation and load interconnection processes for solar, energy storage, natural gas, and data center projects.
• Submit interconnection applications to ISOs and utilities and coordinate feasibility analyses, technical packages, studies, agreements, deposits, and fees.
• Track queue milestones, study results, Generator and Load Interconnection Agreement negotiations, and milestone execution.
• Coordinate with utilities, regulatory agencies, consultants, and stakeholders to obtain interconnection approvals.
• Support site selection, project acquisition, financing, construction, and co-location of generation projects with data center campuses.
• Maintain company tracking tools and coordinate consultant and service-provider work orders.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional experience, preferably in renewable energy.
• Extensive knowledge of FERC large generator interconnection processes and tariff requirements.
• Experience with utility-scale interconnection projects, GIA negotiations and executions, interconnection studies, and power flow studies.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, plus experience with project management software.
• U.S. work authorization without employer sponsorship and availability to work from one of the listed offices at least 3 days per week.
