Grid Interconnection Manager (Data Centers)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end ERCOT interconnection process for large-load data center projects, including feasibility, studies, agreements, and energization.
• Manage transmission studies, engineering and modeling consultants, technical reviews, RFIs, data requests, and study milestones.
• Represent hirify.global in interactions with ERCOT, transmission service providers, utilities, consultants, and regulators.
• Lead negotiation and execution of interconnection agreements and associated security.
• Oversee substations, switching stations, points of delivery, UPS, behind-the-meter equipment, protection, modeling, reliability, and vendor coordination.
• Support regulatory strategy, monitor Texas legislation and PUCT/ERCOT rule changes, and ensure compliance with ERCOT, NERC, and PUCT requirements.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, transmission planning, interconnection, or a related field.
• Deep knowledge of large-load interconnection, regulatory strategy, and cross-functional execution.
• Experience managing multiple interconnections across different geographic locations.
• Experience managing vendors, contract negotiations, and related financial operations.
• Strong project management, communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting large-load or utility-scale generation projects from initial submission through energization.
• Experience working within the ERCOT regulatory environment.
• Licensed engineer credentials.
