Associate, Transmission & Interconnection (Power Systems)

hirify.global builds and operates large data centers for next-generation computing workloads, including AI, colocation, cloud, and Bitcoin mining.

What you will do

• Prepare utility and grid operator submittals, track study milestones, maintain records, and support interconnection negotiations.
• Maintain power system models across regional grid operator systems and perform power flow, contingency, stability, and protection studies.
• Support load capacity screening, network upgrade cost estimation, system reliability analysis, and interconnection risk management.
• Prepare technical reports and translate engineering findings for technical and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate with external consultants to build and validate power flow and dynamic models using industry-standard software.
• Support workflow automation and API-enabled tools to increase study throughput.

Requirements

• BSEE from an ABET-accredited program with a power emphasis.
• 3–5 years of experience in power systems, transmission planning, and interconnection as a consultant, ISO or utility engineer, or in an equivalent role.
• Hands-on experience with TARA for transmission reliability, power flow, and contingency analysis.
• Proficiency with power system modeling and simulation software such as PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, PSCAD, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical, report-writing, data analytics, cost-modeling, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Work in the Miami corporate office is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in an ISO/RTO, consulting firm, or utility, with exposure to PJM, ERCOT, MISO, SPP, or Southeastern markets.
• Experience with large-load or HPC/data center power requirements.
• Dynamic model validation, benchmarking, and model quality testing experience.
• Workflow automation and API experience.
• Professional Engineer license or progress toward licensure.
