Senior Software Engineer, Development Platform (Python/C++)

Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

What you will do

• Own ambiguous, cross-team platform projects from definition through delivery.
• Build and improve SDKs, platform services, data pipelines, databases, and developer tooling.
• Design architectures, service boundaries, interfaces, and contracts across complex systems.
• Work across Python pipelines, control-plane services, C++/gRPC layers, CI, build, and cloud infrastructure.
• Collaborate with reconstruction and ML, content, and product engineering teams.
• Improve engineering practices for system design, testing, release, and delivery.

Requirements

• Senior-level software engineering experience with a track record of delivering complex projects involving multiple connected components.
• Experience owning ambiguous, cross-team projects end to end.
• Experience building and operating production data or service pipelines.
• Comfort working with databases, data modeling, unfamiliar systems, and under-documented codebases.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering and non-engineering disciplines.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
