FabLab Office & Facilities Manager

Location: FabLab in San Carlos, California; onsite five days per week

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year

hirify.global is a remote-first Public Benefit Corporation building a Utility Intelligence Platform for governments, utility operators, and consultants, while expanding hardware products through its Fab Lab.

What you will do

• Own the day-to-day operation of the Fab Lab, including workspace infrastructure, supplies, access control, deliveries, and general office logistics.
• Manage landlords, property managers, contractors, vendors, cleaning, maintenance, utilities, security, landscaping, and other recurring building services.
• Lead facility projects from quotes and vendor selection through scheduling, installation, and completion.
• Administer workplace safety programs, including Cal/OSHA documentation, training records, inspections, logs, and safety-equipment maintenance.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate purchasing, incoming materials, shipments, equipment moves, and deployment logistics.
• Coordinate team events, customer demonstrations, executive visits, catering, room setup, AV, and visitor access.

Requirements

• Comfortable working onsite five days per week in San Carlos, California.
• 3+ years of experience in office management, workplace, facilities, operations, hospitality, events, or a related field.
• Experience managing vendors, contractors, building relationships, or physical workplace operations.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, judgment, and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work hands-on in a physical environment and occasionally lift or move equipment and materials weighing 25+ lbs.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment and work around noise, mechanical parts, electronics, and varying temperatures.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting a workshop, lab, manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or other physical environment.
• Familiarity with California workplace or safety requirements.
• Experience with facilities projects, construction, office buildouts, vendor installations, workplace safety, or industrial safety training.
• Experience supporting hardware, manufacturing, telecom, infrastructure, or industrial teams.
• Experience with inventory, purchasing, shipping, or operational logistics.
