Senior Analytics Engineer (Snowflake/dbt)

Location: Hybrid role based in either the Auckland or Sydney office

What you will do

• Partner with senior stakeholders across Finance, GTM, and Product to understand business decisions and build impactful data solutions.
• Run and scale the core analytics platform based on Snowflake and dbt.
• Own integrations with HubSpot, Subskribe, and the product database.
• Build self-service data products that enable teams to answer their own questions.
• Own data quality, reliability, and accuracy standards across the analytics platform.
• Fix pipelines, unblock operational teams, and mentor junior colleagues as needed in a scale-up environment.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data.
• Advanced SQL, dbt, and Snowflake experience.
• Strong data-modelling judgement and the ability to own ELT pipelines and infrastructure end to end.
• Ability to communicate with executives and non-technical stakeholders and explain the business impact of data models.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Copilot with sound judgement when verifying their output.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, a related analytical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience modelling Finance or GTM data, including revenue, retention, or pipeline data.
• Experience in a B2B SaaS startup or scale-up.
• Experience building or contributing to a semantic or metrics layer.
