Sr. Analytics Engineer (dbt)

Location: Remote - US; meaningful working-hours overlap with US Pacific time zone teams required

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models from staging through marts using version control, code review, testing, CI/CD, and documentation.
• Establish the semantic layer and define certified single-source-of-truth metrics, including ARR, MRR, paying customer count, retention, and GTM and funnel metrics.
• Build reusable data products for Revenue, Customer Identity, and Funnel with defined schemas, grain, ownership, tests, and lineage.
• Support financial-reporting-relevant revenue models with auditability and reconciliation to Finance source numbers.
• Implement data quality checks, observability, documentation, and human-readable lineage.
• Partner with Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Finance, Revenue Operations, Marketing, and other stakeholders to define entities, metrics, grain, and sources of truth.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, or a closely related role.
• Advanced SQL and experience building production-grade, well-tested analytical data models.
• Strong hands-on dbt experience, including staging-to-mart modeling, tests, macros, documentation, and CI/CD.
• Experience with a modern cloud data warehouse; direct Snowflake experience is strongly preferred.
• Experience with a semantic or metric layer such as dbt Semantic Layer, MetricFlow, Cube, or LookML.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication and the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial reporting, public-company metrics, or SOX-compliant data.
• Experience with GTM, revenue, subscription, or billing systems such as Salesforce, Stripe, NetSuite, or Orb.
• Experience with Tableau or Tableau Next, Python, Airflow, Dagster, Fivetran, or modern AI tools and coding assistants.
