Senior Data Engineer (AI)

Location: On-site in New York City or San Francisco; working in person at the office 4–5 days per week.

Salary: $240,000–$300,000 per year, plus equity and potential bonuses.

What you will do

• Own the company’s data pipelines, infrastructure, and ETL processes.
• Build and maintain high-quality, large-scale data solutions that process substantial data volumes.
• Design core data objects, models, and performant database structures.
• Optimize data collection and data flows across product, operations, analytics, and engineering.
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring systems.
• Develop client-facing reporting solutions, metrics datasets, and dashboards.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Programming proficiency in Python.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases, data modeling, and database design.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining ETL pipelines.
• Knowledge of data warehousing solutions, particularly Snowflake.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, organization, and data quality skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with data quality management and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with AWS services and data visualization tools.
• Knowledge of machine learning pipelines and real-time data streaming platforms.
• Familiarity with dbt and Airflow.
