Analytics Engineer (Fintech)

Location: On-site in London, Dubai, or New York City; right to work in the UK, UAE, or US required

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, test, and document dbt models for business domains across Finance, Product, Markets, Compliance, Treasury, and Data Engineering.
• Lead high-priority cross-functional data projects, investigating complex problems from first principles and delivering trusted answers.
• Build datasets and pipelines supporting month-end close, audit requests, and faster Finance and Compliance reporting cycles.
• Create tests, checks, and alerts that maintain data reliability and surface issues before they become incidents.
• Apply AI tools and agents across the modelling lifecycle to accelerate dbt development and improve data quality.
• Contribute to the analytics community through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and support for business data questions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in a data role, including Analytics Engineering and/or Data Science.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets in dbt.
• Experience with modern BI tools such as Looker or Mode and enabling self-serve analytics.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented, pragmatic approach with a willingness to handle tasks of varying scope.
• Must have the right to work in the UK, UAE, or US.

Nice to have

• Experience in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
• Experience with Python and/or R.
• Experience leading cross-functional or big-data projects.
