Staff Analytics Engineer (Fintech)

Location: London, New York, Dubai, or NYC hubs; right to work in the UK, US, or UAE is required.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain mission-critical dbt transformation models, standards, tests, and documentation.
• Build dashboards, alerts, and tools that identify data issues before they become incidents.
• Create the documentation, knowledge layer, and quality checks needed for self-serve analysis.
• Use AI tools and agents to accelerate dbt development and improve data quality.
• Lead high-priority data projects addressing complex business and domain problems.
• Review code, share best practices, mentor colleagues, and raise analytics engineering standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data roles, including analytics engineering and/or data science.
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large, complex datasets in dbt.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and modern cloud warehouses such as Redshift, Snowflake, or BigQuery.
• Fluency with modern BI tools such as Looker or Mode and experience enabling self-serve analytics.
• Experience with Python and/or R, plus strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Right to work in the UK, US, or UAE is required.

• Experience in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects with Finance, Engineering, or Product.
