Senior Product Designer (AI)

Location: California, United States. Remote workplace; candidates must currently reside in San Diego, CA or the Bay Area, CA. Employees based in San Diego split their time between home and headquarters, while remote employees regularly participate in team events and in-person collaboration.

Salary: $142,000–$167,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Design intelligent experiences for complex clinical workflows, conversational interfaces, document authoring, recommendations, and workflow automation.
• Lead product design from discovery through delivery, creating user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and polished development-ready designs.
• Partner with Product Management on customer discovery, product strategy, user research, usability testing, and prioritization.
• Simplify structured clinical data, document editing, and collaborative workflows into intuitive experiences.
• Evolve the design system and reusable interaction patterns while partnering with Engineering on implementation quality, accessibility, and usability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Clinical SMEs, Customer Success, and Data Science, and mentor designers through critiques and problem solving.

Requirements

• Current residence in San Diego, California or the Bay Area, California.
• 4+ years of experience designing enterprise SaaS products.
• Portfolio showing ownership of complex product experiences from discovery through delivery.
• Experience designing products with artificial intelligence or intelligent capabilities.
• Expertise in interaction design, information architecture, visual design, user-centered design, and systems thinking.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, research, prototyping, and product decision-making skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with large language models or generative AI.
• Experience designing productivity tools, document authoring applications, or workflow automation software.
• Experience with enterprise software for technical or specialized users.
• Healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated-industry experience.
