Compiler Engineer (Blockchain)

Location: Remote; New York, hybrid. The salary range covers US locations, while employees outside the US may receive geographically adjusted compensation and country-specific EOR benefits.

Salary: $180,000–$250,000 base salary per year, plus token and equity incentives.

hirify.global is a startup developing Monad, a high-performance, EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain, including its parallel-execution EVM and custom state database.

What you will do

• Research methods for accelerating EVM bytecode execution.
• Design and implement greenfield, performance-oriented production systems.
• Build bytecode execution graph infrastructure enabling speculative pre-execution of potential control-flow paths.
• Apply compiler and systems research to software securing billions of dollars in value.
• Collaborate in a small engineering and research team and contribute software publicly.

Requirements

• Proven experience in compiler design and system architecture.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and C++ programming skills.
• Experience with industry-standard compiler technologies.
• Good understanding of testing and benchmarking.
• Industry or academic experience developing compilers for parallel architectures.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of type theory.
• Experience with crypto is not required.
