Blockchain / Backend Engineer - Assistant Vice President (Web3)

Location: Hybrid (Salt Lake City, Utah, USA). Must work in the office Monday-Thursday, with remote flexibility on Friday.

Salary: $120,000 – $145,000

What you will do

• Design and implement private and permissioned distributed ledgers using DAML/Canton and other open-source blockchain frameworks.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Python and FastAPI.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and guide team members through the SDLC.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and senior leadership to scope projects and identify business opportunities.
• Participate in daily stand-up meetings and conduct peer code reviews.
• Integrate the latest blockchain technology developments into the company ecosystem.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions.
• Experience with DAML, Solidity, or other blockchain programming languages.
• Proficiency in Python and FastAPI.
• Strong understanding of relational database concepts, modeling practices, and building large-scale APIs using AWS.
• Experience with tokenization and blockchain-based investments.
• Must be based in or able to commute to Salt Lake City, Utah for the required hybrid schedule.

Nice to have

• Basic knowledge of capital markets and alternative investments.
• Familiarity with encryption techniques and security best practices.
