Backend Engineer, Blockchain - Assistant Vice President (Blockchain)

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; work in the office Monday–Thursday, with remote work available on Friday.

Salary: $120,000–$145,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design and implement a private, permissioned distributed ledger using DAML, Canton, and open-source blockchain frameworks.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs with Python and FastAPI.
• Provide technical leadership, guide team members, and mentor junior engineers.
• Participate in stand-ups, peer code reviews, and the standard software development lifecycle.
• Monitor developments in blockchain technology and incorporate relevant innovations into the platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building enterprise SaaS cloud-based solutions.
• 2+ years of technical leadership and management experience.
• Experience with DAML, Solidity, or other blockchain programming languages.
• Experience with Python, FastAPI, and API development for large-scale applications using AWS.
• Understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling practices.
