Engineering Leader (Entity Management)

Location: New York, hybrid

Salary: $205,000–$260,000 base salary per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Manage, coach, and mentor a team of 6–8 full-stack engineers.
• Own the technical roadmap and strategy for Entity Management, taking products from early availability to general availability.
• Guide the evolution of agentic automation systems, including web scrapers, portal bots, and intelligent workflow orchestration.
• Partner with Product, Go-to-Market, Operations, recruiting, and Engineering leadership to prioritize roadmaps, scale the team, and improve engineering processes.
• Collaborate with legal and compliance subject matter experts to meet regulatory requirements.
• Scale products through embedded partner distribution and incorporate partner feedback into rapid product iterations.

Requirements

• 2+ years leading product engineering teams as an Engineering Manager or team lead.
• 6+ years of product engineering experience as an individual contributor.
• Deep technical fluency for architectural decisions, technical trade-offs, and product scoping.
• Experience building and scaling automation-heavy systems such as web scrapers, workflow orchestration, or bot-driven integrations.
• Strong customer focus, stakeholder management, structured communication, and accountability.
• Demonstrated experience growing and managing engineers through coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience at early- or mid-stage startups as a founder, team lead, or early-stage manager.
• Experience in compliance-heavy or regulated environments.
• Experience with embedded or partner-first product distribution models.
• Experience with Payroll, HRtech, Fintech, Risk, or Enterprise SaaS products.
