Clinical Application and Support Engineer (MedTech)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid working modality with frequent travel to hospital settings and clinical sites (30–50%).

What you will do

• Develop and maintain training materials covering product use, clinical workflows, and integration with other clinical equipment.
• Train clinicians, hospital staff, customers, and clinical partners.
• Provide on-site and remote support during clinical procedures and studies, including intensive travel to hospitals.
• Troubleshoot technical and clinical issues with physicians, engineers, and internal teams.
• Coordinate with clinical teams and investigational sites to support study execution, protocol implementation, and adherence.
• Translate field feedback into actionable insights for product and clinical teams while representing the company to clinicians and KOLs.

Requirements

• Degree in biomedical engineering, clinical engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in a clinical or field-facing role within the medtech industry.
• Strong understanding of medical device usage in clinical environments and the ability to translate technical concepts into practical clinical guidance.
• Fluent English required; English is the company language.
• Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with technical and clinical teams and solve problems in high-pressure settings.
• Willingness to work in hospital settings and travel frequently (30–50%) is required.

Nice to have

• Experience in intraoperative environments, including operating room support.
• Exposure to neurology, neurosurgery, or neurotechnology.
• Experience supporting clinical trials or investigational studies.
• Familiarity with hospital workflows and multi-device environments.
