People Operations Manager (AI)

Location: On-site in the New York City or San Francisco office, United States

Salary: $130,000–$190,000 annual base salary, plus equity

What you will do

• Maintain Rippling as the source of truth for employee data throughout the full lifecycle.
• Own global employee onboarding and coordinate cross-functional requirements across time zones.
• Manage payroll, benefits administration, open enrollment, compliance, employment documentation, and verifications.
• Partner with Operations, Finance, Legal, IT, Recruiting, and external vendors to build scalable people operations systems.
• Measure and improve the employee experience using operational metrics and process iteration.
• Use AI and automation to reduce repetitive administrative work and bring outsourced people operations in-house.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in people operations or HR at a high-growth startup.
• Experience scaling people operations during rapid headcount growth.
• Deep proficiency with Rippling across HRIS, payroll, benefits, devices, and system access.
• Experience supporting a globally distributed workforce and managing related compliance and operational complexity.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain payroll and benefits changes clearly.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a high standard for data accuracy.
