TL;DR

Salary: $100K – $200K + Equity

What you will do

  • Own the full HR lifecycle including onboarding, offboarding, compensation, benefits, and performance management.
  • Design and improve scalable systems to ensure operational excellence and compliance during high-volume growth.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations, managing conflicts and sensitive situations with empathy.
  • Maintain rigorous adherence to federal, state, and local employment regulations for a non-exempt workforce.
  • Build coaching frameworks and toolkits to enable first-time managers to lead effectively.
  • Experiment with and implement AI-powered tools to automate HR workflows and create operational leverage.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of HR generalist experience, specifically in high-volume, early-career workforce environments (e.g., BPO, call centers).
  • Proven experience managing large non-exempt, W-2 employee populations and their associated compliance complexities.
  • Track record of scaling an organization through rapid growth phases.
  • Fluency in employment law, including wage and hour laws, FMLA, and ADA.
  • Strong analytical skills to diagnose problems and manage HR metrics.
  • Must be based in or able to work on-site in New York.
