Electronics Specialist

Location: Seattle, WA; on-site

Salary: $100,000–$150,000 per year, plus equity

hirify.global is a pre-revenue startup developing modular subsea geothermal power plants that convert ocean-floor thermal resources into baseload power.

What you will do

• Build high-reliability wiring harnesses for test systems and subsea deployments.
• Assemble, wire, and debug PLC cabinets and electrical control panels.
• Perform precision soldering, PCBA rework, and board-level debugging.
• Support electrical system bring-up, troubleshooting, and rapid prototyping with engineers.
• Own the electronics lab, including organization, tooling, inventory, cleanliness, and capability expansion.
• Document builds, issues, fixes, labeling, and workmanship for engineering and QA traceability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an electronics technician, electrical technician, or in a similar role.
• Experience building and troubleshooting complex wiring harnesses and electrical systems.
• Strong fine-pitch soldering and PCBA rework skills.
• Experience assembling and wiring control panels, PLC cabinets, or industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, and use oscilloscopes, multimeters, and other lab equipment.
• Strong understanding of connectors, crimping, shielding, grounding, cable management, EMI mitigation, and signal integrity.

Nice to have

• Experience with subsea, marine, aerospace, or other harsh-environment systems.
• Electrical or high-power systems background.
• Familiarity with industrial controls, sensors, data acquisition, and EMI/EMC debugging.
• Basic mechanical fabrication skills for electrical builds.
• Experience scaling electronics lab infrastructure and maintaining high-reliability documentation standards.
