Paralegal

Location: Fully remote, with the option to work from headquarters at Ellington Air Field in Houston, Texas. ITAR requirements apply; applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, protected individuals, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.

What you will do

• Support contract drafting, review, redlining, execution, and lifecycle management.
• Maintain corporate governance records, board consents, resolutions, subsidiary records, and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate government and commercial agreements and manage structured documentation repositories.
• Conduct legal and factual research on government procurement, FAR/DFARS, regulatory updates, and compliance obligations.
• Prepare materials for audits, government inquiries, and compliance reviews involving CUI, cybersecurity, and export controls.
• Support the General Counsel with due diligence, financing activities, board documentation, outside counsel coordination, and executive reports.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of paralegal experience in a law firm, corporate legal department, or government setting.
• Active paralegal certification or a relevant associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Experience supporting legal work in defense, aerospace, government, or a government-adjacent environment.
• Strong understanding of government contracting, FAR/DFARS, procurement workflows, and compliance obligations.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, judgment, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to comply with U.S. ITAR export-control requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with aerospace or defense contractors, federal programs, or regulated technology companies.
• Familiarity with CUI handling, cybersecurity frameworks, and export-control requirements.
• Experience supporting financing transactions, IP matters, or litigation.
• Proficiency with document-management systems, CLM tools, and collaboration platforms.
