Senior Legal Counsel (U.S.)

Legal support for U.S. business and defence-related operations.

What you will do

• Draft, negotiate, finalize, and manage U.S. commercial, supplier, inter-company, and NDA agreements.
• Develop U.S. sales contract templates and compliant contract processes.
• Ensure adherence to federal acquisition regulations, DoD policies, and DoD documentation standards.
• Support FOCI mitigation, CUI and DoD clearance policies, governance, compliance, risk management, and legal training.
• Advise on FCC certifications and licensing, export/import controls, disputes, legislative changes, and IP-related transactions.
• Maintain relationships across the business and explain complex legal matters clearly.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Significant senior in-house legal counsel experience in a multinational defence-sector organization.
• Proven expertise in defence contracts and contract lifecycle management.
• Strong knowledge of federal acquisition regulations, DoD procurement, FCC licensing, ITAR, EAR, FAR, and DFAR requirements.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, communication, presentation, and budgeting skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Familiarity with defence technologies is beneficial; compliance certifications are desirable.
