Backend Software Engineer (AI)

Location: New York, NY; on-site, in person 5 days per week

Salary: $250,000–$350,000 per year, plus equity and bonus

hirify.global is building an AI layer for professional services and software implementation, automating documentation, discovery, and decision-making for enterprise services work.

What you will do

• Own and lead engineering projects across hirify.global’s software offerings.
• Build retrieval systems over large corpora of enterprise documents.
• Develop backend infrastructure for AI-powered collaborative workflows.
• Build multi-step planning agents for enterprise project management.
• Design secure systems for sensitive organizational data and evaluate LLMs for document generation and synthesis.
• Develop data ingestion pipelines for integrations including Confluence, Jira, and SharePoint.

Requirements

• 4+ years of backend-focused software engineering experience after a BS or MS degree.
• Experience working on product-centric teams and building fast-growing SaaS products.
• Experience building backend platforms that support multiple product lines.
• Strong programming skills and general computer science knowledge.
• Experience architecting scalable systems for rapid growth and enterprise-level traffic.
• Ability to work on-site in New York, NY five days per week.
