Senior Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid, NYC office in Manhattan, United States

Salary: $175,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity

hirify.global is a Series B registered investment advisor building an AI-native technology platform and client portal for independent financial advisors.

What you will do

• Lead medium-to-large product and platform projects from scoping through production, managing dependencies and communicating progress.
• Establish engineering patterns and standards for building, testing, observing, and iterating on systems.
• Make and document architectural decisions covering data models, service boundaries, system tradeoffs, and failure modes.
• Apply AI tooling such as Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor while helping the team use AI effectively.
• Partner with Product and Design to shape scope and reduce execution risk on ambiguous problems.
• Mentor engineers and work directly with financial advisors to understand their workflows.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience leading projects end-to-end with measurable business impact.
• Hands-on experience incorporating AI into shipped products or systems, including understanding prompt reliability, latency, cost, and failure modes.
• Strong infrastructure and platform engineering depth across CI/CD, IaaS such as AWS or GCP, and observability platforms.
• Strong system design skills involving data models, service boundaries, scalability, and architectural tradeoffs.
• Clear technical communication, effective feedback skills, and experience collaborating across functions in a startup environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and Terraform.
• Fintech, wealth management, financial services, regulatory compliance, or financial data integration experience.
• Experience with LLM evaluation frameworks such as RAGAs, LangSmith, or custom evaluation harnesses.
• Experience with vector databases, embedding pipelines, or production-scale retrieval-augmented generation.
