What you will do

• Design and develop instrumentation and data acquisition systems for monitoring and controlling engineering systems.
• Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PCB designs.
• Assemble, commission, and integrate laboratory-based test systems and sensors.
• Work with engineers, physicists, and external partners to deliver instrumentation and electronics development.
• Define software requirements and support control-system development.
• Analyse test results and produce technical reports.

Requirements

• Background in electronics, electrical engineering, physics, or a similar discipline.
• Experience with instrumentation or data acquisition hardware and measurement principles, including accuracy, sensitivity, and precision.
• Experience designing schematics and PCBs.
• Hands-on experience in a laboratory or test environment.
• Solid understanding of electronic components used in measurement systems.
• Successful appointment is subject to pre-employment screening, including right-to-work verification, proof of identity, and references.

Nice to have

• Experience designing data acquisition PCBs.
• Familiarity with cryogenics or high-magnetic-field systems.
• Experience with PXI, cRIO, embedded systems, FPGAs, C/C++, or LabVIEW.
