Control Systems Engineer – Test & Measurement

Location: Full-time, onsite at the headquarters in Denver, Colorado, United States

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and commission control systems for laboratory and industrial test and measurement stands.
• Plan, execute, and report verification and validation activities, including test procedures and requirements traceability.
• Develop maintainable control, automation, and data acquisition software using Python, LabVIEW, and related tools.
• Integrate instrumentation, DAQ hardware, benchtop equipment, custom hardware, and software.
• Build and maintain automated test frameworks, unit tests, and regression tests.
• Apply systems-level diagnostic and troubleshooting methods while collaborating with electrical, mechanical, and software engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of control systems engineering experience, preferably in test, measurement, or validation environments.
• Experience designing and commissioning test stands, automated test equipment, or experimental systems.
• Proficiency in Python and LabVIEW, version control with Git, and modern software development workflows.
• Knowledge of verification and validation, requirements tracking, unit testing, automated testing, and industrial or laboratory communication protocols.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, refugee, or asylee lawfully admitted to the United States.

Nice to have

• Three or more years of relevant control systems engineering experience.
• Experience with Actor frameworks, PLC/PAC systems, real-time controllers, SCADA platforms, or OPC UA.
• Familiarity with SCPI, GPIB, USB instruments, DAQ systems, high-speed data capture, and synchronization systems.
• Experience with safety-related controls, interlocks, fail-safe design, or R&D and prototype testing.
