What you will do

• Review schematics, datasheets, manuals, drawings, blueprints, and engineering sketches.
• Install, assemble, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify wiring for ground-support equipment, electronics racks, and junction boxes.
• Connect, test, and validate pressure transducers, thermocouples, and other sensors.
• Diagnose, adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components in ground hardware, test equipment, and integration systems.
• Fabricate and install parts and assemblies using hand tools, power tools, and test instruments.
• Support vehicle integration, launch-site maintenance, preventive maintenance, facilities work, and launch operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience as a mechanic, technician, or construction professional.
• At least 4 years of experience working with instrumentation such as RTDs, thermocouples, strain gauges, load cells, displacement transducers, or pressure transducers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform frequent physical activities including climbing, bending, pushing, pulling, and carrying.
• Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in harsh outdoor conditions.
• Flexibility to work changing schedules based on site operational demands.

Nice to have

• Experience assembling and constructing electronic systems, testing facilities, or test and launch campaigns.
• IPC-620 certification or familiarity with its standards.
• Knowledge of DC electronics, Ohm's law, Wheatstone bridges, signal conditioning, transducers, and measurement techniques.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, soldering, cable harnessing, strain relief, PXI/PXIe, cRIO, Serial, USB, and data-acquisition systems.
• Associate degree in instrumentation, control technology, electrical systems, or a related discipline.
