Controller (Robotics)

hirify.global Robotics develops retail technology combining autonomous robots, computer vision, and a multimodal data platform to improve inventory availability, shelf execution, pricing accuracy, and store operations.

What you will do

• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close, financial reporting, reconciliations, consolidations, and supporting schedules.
• Lead accounting policy and technical accounting across revenue, inventory, leases, debt, warrants, equity, stock-based compensation, fixed assets, and internally developed software.
• Manage revenue and contract accounting for enterprise arrangements combining hardware, subscription software, implementation, support, and services.
• Build scalable inventory, cost accounting, contract manufacturing, logistics, deployed-asset, warranty, and hardware accounting processes.
• Lead external audits, internal controls, tax and accounting provider relationships, lender reporting, covenant compliance, and financial diligence.
• Build the accounting organization and evolve financial systems from QuickBooks Online toward a scalable ERP and close-management environment.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience with meaningful leadership responsibility as a Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Accounting, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including independent accounting judgment and documentation.
• Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition, multi-element enterprise contracts, inventory, cost accounting, contract manufacturing, fixed assets, or hardware-related accounting.
• Experience leading external audits and building accounting processes, systems, controls, and teams from the ground up.
• Strong systems fluency with QuickBooks Online or comparable general ledgers, FP&A, accounts payable, tax, payroll, and scalable ERP systems.
• Experience in venture-backed, private-equity-backed, high-growth, multi-entity, or international companies, plus demonstrated use of AI tooling in accounting workflows.

Nice to have

• Active CPA license and Big Four or other public accounting experience.
• Experience with robotics, connected devices, industrial technology, manufacturing, or enterprise technology.
• Experience preparing for significant financing, strategic transactions, or public-company readiness.
• Experience implementing NetSuite or a comparable ERP.
• Experience with debt, warrant, equity, and stock-based compensation accounting.
