Corporate Controller (Robotics)

Location: Hybrid, based out of the New York City office and/or Glen Cove, NY robotics factory/headquarters

Salary: $300,000–$450,000 base annually, plus equity.

What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and compress timelines toward public-company standards.
• Design and implement the internal control environment, including COSO, segregation of duties, approval matrices, and SOX-caliber documentation and testing.
• Select and onboard a PCAOB-registered external audit firm and lead the full audit cycle, including PBC requests, walkthroughs, and audit support.
• Build internal audit capabilities and present close, control, and audit status to leadership, the board, and audit committee as the company scales toward IPO readiness.
• Lead technical accounting under US GAAP, including revenue recognition, inventory and standard costing, stock-based compensation, equity administration, and SEC reporting readiness.
• Lead the accounting workstream of the ERP implementation and develop scalable policies, procedures, automation, and accounting-team capabilities.

Requirements

• CPA required; Big 4 or national accounting firm experience strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Experience taking a company through an IPO and S-1 process, implementing SOX 404, or operating public-company close and controls under PCAOB audit.
• Proven experience building control environments, compressing close timelines, and managing external audits.
• Experience with SEC reporting, equity and stock-plan administration, ERP implementations, and manufacturing or hardware inventory accounting.
• Ability to work in a hybrid setup from the New York City or Glen Cove, NY location, meet aggressive deadlines, and work hands-on from journal entries through leadership presentations.
