Senior Member of Technical Staff: Electrical Engineering — Compute and Sensing (Robotics)

What you will do

• Design and deliver SoM/SoC-based compute boards, high-bandwidth camera modules, and sensor interface electronics for humanoid robots.
• Lead schematic capture, controlled-impedance PCB layout, and signal- and power-integrity analysis for MIPI CSI-2, PCIe, Ethernet, DDR, and multi-gigabit SerDes interfaces.
• Architect FPGA-based data paths for camera aggregation, timestamping, synchronization, and preprocessing.
• Own board bring-up, laboratory debugging, root-cause analysis, and validation against signal-integrity and EMC requirements.
• Integrate cameras and compute with mechanical, thermal, firmware, controls, and perception systems under packaging, power, and thermal constraints.
• Drive designs through DFM/DFA and production release, establish design standards, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience delivering complex electronics from concept through production, or a master’s degree plus 5 years, including volume-produced hardware.
• Strong electrical engineering skills in schematic design, multilayer and HDI PCB layout, power regulation, component selection, and mixed-signal board bring-up.
• Experience with high-speed signal design, controlled-impedance routing, length and skew matching, and signal-integrity analysis.
• Hands-on experience integrating high-bandwidth cameras and image sensors, including MIPI CSI-2 timing, synchronization, and data-rate considerations.
• Working knowledge of FPGA-based systems, high-speed I/O, memory, clocking, and collaboration with firmware and software teams.
• Strong proficiency with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers, along with communication, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotic systems, especially humanoid or manipulation robots.
• FPGA RTL/HDL development for camera or sensor data pipelines, image preprocessing, or sensor fusion.
• Experience with high-speed board design tools, SI simulation, camera calibration, synchronization, or ISP integration.
• Experience with RF and wireless communication designs and antenna design.
