Salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity and bonus

Company

hirify.global builds autonomous heavy machinery by combining software, electronics, mechanics, perception, and mission-critical infrastructure for construction jobsites.

What you will do

  • Architect end-to-end electrical subsystems for compute and MCU platforms, sensors, power distribution, safety circuitry, and communication buses.
  • Own the full PCBA lifecycle from schematics and simulation through Altium layout, board bring-up, validation, and failure analysis.
  • Design ruggedized wiring harnesses, connectors, and electronics for vibration, shock, corrosion, temperature extremes, and electrically noisy environments.
  • Develop automated manufacturing, design-validation, and field-diagnostic test systems, including firmware-driven tests.
  • Define electrical interfaces and failure behaviors with autonomy, software, mechanical, safety, OEM, and field engineering teams.
  • Scale electrical systems from prototypes to manufacturing and field deployment while driving root-cause analysis and corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 7+ years of experience designing and delivering production electrical systems.
  • Strong experience with schematic design, PCB layout, SPICE simulation, signal integrity, power budgeting, and thermal considerations.
  • Hands-on laboratory validation and debugging using oscilloscopes, DMMs, logic analyzers, and signal analyzers.
  • Experience with CAN, UART, Ethernet, and other communication protocols, plus harness design and ruggedized connectors.
  • Experience debugging EMI/EMC issues and delivering reliable, fault-tolerant systems in cross-functional environments.

Nice to have

  • Experience in robotics, autonomy, automotive, off-road machinery, or other ruggedized systems.
  • Experience with MCU firmware, power electronics, DC-DC conversion, load management, or battery systems.
  • Experience designing to IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ISO 15998, ISO 10218, or other functional safety standards.
  • Experience scaling designs from prototype to manufacturing and field deployment.

Culture & Benefits

  • High-impact ownership across an autonomy and heavy-equipment robotics product.
  • Fast iteration, deep debugging, and a focus on quality, safety, and reliability.
  • Collaboration with software, autonomy, hardware, mechanical, and robotics engineers.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k), life insurance, gourmet food, and other perks.
  • Travel opportunities to customer jobsites across the U.S., Australia, Europe, Africa, South America, and other regions.
